Job Summary
PACS Director Adria`s core job responsibility is to execute the Europe Operating Unit's (OU) overall strategic direction in Adria through local public affairs, communications, and sustainability initiatives. Due to the unique system structure, PACS Director Adria will also be able to provide full and independent operational support to the local team.
The key objectives for this role are to:
- Enhance and protect the reputation of our Company and Brands in Adria, including potential reputation impacts across Europe
- Work with the bottler (Coca-Cola Hellenic Adria) Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team to ensure system business plans are aligned and effective
- Develop and manage customer-focused community and sustainability projects within the Operating Unit Europe strategic framework
- Support all key business & brand initiatives where communication might be of added value for the success of the local business
- Manage Incident Management & Crisis Resolution (IMCR) cases in Adria in partnership with Coca-Cola Hellenic
Public affairs and stakeholder engagement:
- Act as a lead representative of the company in Adria to further the system’s interest through the establishment of effective government and industry relations and building strong relationships and golden triangle partnerships with key opinion leaders/businesses
- Maintain franchise leadership through alignment on stakeholder outreach and goals
- Provide strategic advice to the business on the potential impact of business decisions on the relationships with the Government and other KOLs.
Corporate and category reputation management:
- Lead initiatives that foster grassroots connection through Community platforms, and proper amplification through paid, owned, and earned media
- Champion our sustainability agenda and progress it locally through NGO engagement and forming relevant partnerships
- Manage the Health and Well-being debate among KOLs, Media, and targeted consumer groups across Adria
- Create and implement (in line with EU OU/Global strategy) effective programs to enhance corporate reputation, further the company`s sustainability agenda, and enhance category perception
- Lead humanitarian and local community activities in alignment with the community strategy outlined by our Social Impact lead in the Europe OU
Communications
- Manage preparation and execution of content for distribution through traditional and digital media
- Lead proactive media relations, developing personal contacts with a range of influential journalists, including business, health, medical, consumer affairs, science correspondents, and influencer bloggers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support the brands and their success in the market, including risk assessment of brand plans
- Act as a Company spokesperson in Adria when needed
- Liaise with the PR agencies to ensure the level and quality of service
- Communicate the company’s story on social media and digital platforms, ensuring the company website and social networks are refreshed and up-to-date, and reflect system-wide initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- University degree (Master) or equivalent in communications, journalism, sustainability, or related field.
- 10+ years of professional Corporate Affairs / GR experience.
- Fluent in English – both speaking and writing
- Stakeholder relations management and ability to work with external high-level audiences
- Demonstrated experience in managing or coordinating sustainability initiatives or projects.
- Experience in working with NGOs, government agencies, or private sector entities on environmental or social projects.
- Develop unique ideas that can be used to address business issues and improve the organization
- Make personal decisions that impact our ability to drive organizational success
- Business writing; Public speaking
- Understand the role in building and delivering short and long-term results to the business
- Leverage internal insights and external best practices to promote leading-edge thinking
- Embrace change and demonstrate a clear commitment to the success of The Coca-Cola Company
- The ability to work in a networked organization through strong collaboration will all functions and our bottler
- Understanding business insights and strategies
