Position: MBA Intern, Project Development
Location: Nashville, TN
Timing: May – August, 2025
Overview: This position will report to the Project Development Team and will focus on a two to three projects that support pre-construction activities. This position will require coordination with internal and potential external stakeholders to fulfill project requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
This position will support the Project Development team in identifying opportunities to enhance EPC contracting efforts for late-stage development assets. The primary focus will be on pinpointing projects that are ready for EPC engagement and meet all criteria to achieve their required Commercial Operation Date.
The role will collaborate closely with the Project Delivery, Engineering, Utility Planning, and other relevant teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of SRC’s current processes and strategies that drive successful EPC contracting.
Additionally, this position will contribute to project development siting analysis and landowner outreach in Georgia and South Carolina to meet current customer needs and support any other siting needs of the team. Other projects and responsibilities may be assigned throughout the internship as needed.
Deliverables:
An extensive report on opportunities to move projects through the EPC contracting process earlier and with less friction points. As well as a presentation of the information to the PD team.
Site search information, site diligence decks of viable sites and landowner contact information.
Any other projects that may arise during the internship will have a written deliverable produced.
Reporting: This position reports to Senior Director, Project Development
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably In Energy/Land Management or equivalent; Must currently be enrolled in an MBA program
Experience:
1-3 years of work experience in project management, land development or real estate.
Technical:
Exposure or experience to the US energy and/or renewable market desirable.
