Position: Intern, Project Development
Location: Nashville, TN/Remote
Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting Silicon Ranch’s greenfield site development strategy and provides a unique opportunity to engage in solar development throughout the Southeast. You will be exposed to the various business units that Project Development collaborates with to bring a solar project to fruition.
Main Responsibilities:
In this position, you will assist the Project Development team with:
- Researching communities Silicon Ranch intends to develop projects in to understand permitting requirements and risk
- Coordinating project diligence and completing the associated internal financial processes
- Collaborating with adjacent business units to triage development related tasks
- Analyzing and synthesizing historical diligence data for Silicon Ranch’s leadership
- Conducting outreach to landowners, neighbors, and other local community members
- Identifying potential sites for utility-scale solar projects
Reporting to: Manager, Project Development
Qualifications:
Silicon Ranch is looking for current college students (preference for rising Seniors) or recent graduates who can commit to 20–40 hours per week. We are seeking a well-organized individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of contributing to the team right away. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to independently solve problems and create value for the Project Development team as a whole.
This position requires excellent time-management and communication skills. Working knowledge of project management, land development, real estate, or environmental science is desirable—desire to learn is a must!
