DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced ICMS, Environmental & Safety Lead to oversee the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of our Integrated Compliance Management System (ICMS), Environmental Management Systems, and Workplace Safety initiatives.
This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting environmental sustainability, and maintaining a safe work environment. The successful candidate will enhance and enforce systems to mitigate risks and foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory excellence across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, and enhancement of the ICMS to ensure compliance with all regulatory, industry, and company standards.
- Oversee compliance documentation, policies, and procedures, conducting internal audits and assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare compliance reports and ensure audit readiness across all functions.
- Develop and implement environmental policies and sustainability programs to reduce environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor environmental performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Design and enforce safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations to maintain a safe workplace.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance throughout the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Studies, Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum five years in compliance management, environmental sustainability, and safety leadership.
- Certifications: Internal Auditor Certification (preferably Diploma in Quality Auditing BSB51615 or Equivalent).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ICMS, EMS, and ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to influence and drive a culture of compliance, safety, and sustainability.
