About the Role

ION Solar is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer – Team Lead who is not only a highly skilled engineer but also an exceptional leader and communicator. This role requires strong technical expertise alongside the ability to mentor, inspire, and guide a team of developers. You’ll be responsible for driving technical strategy/architecture, ensuring high-quality development, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

This is a hybrid position with a MWF in-office and T/TH remote schedule, giving you the best of both in-person collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a positive and productive engineering culture
Act as a technical and people leader, ensuring projects are executed effectively and team members are engaged
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define project requirements and translate business needs into scalable solutions
Drive best practices in engineering, including system performance, security, and maintainability
Communicate technical decisions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

5+ years of full-stack development experience (7–8+ preferred)
Strong proficiency in at least one or more of the following: Ruby, React, PHP, Angular (equivalent experience with other languages will be considered)
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate technical challenges while keeping a team motivated
Experience with Agile development, Git version control, and cloud-based architectures
Ability to effectively manage priorities, deadlines, and team workloads
