For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $81,000 - $115,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What will you do?
As a Sustainability Support Specialist, you will use your knowledge of Environmental Science & Global Regulations to support our Product Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to deploy and execute corporate sustainability programs and strategies. In pursuit of this responsibility, you will:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support data collection and conduct thorough technical audits of environmental data, employing analytical skills to derive insights and implement necessary quality control checks.
- Support the implementation and rigorous monitoring of product sustainability targets.
- Regularly communicates project status and results to Sustainability Manager and other stakeholders through consistent contact.
- Support education of key stakeholders on the importance of sustainability programs to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Verification of Life Cycle Assessments and Product Environmental Declarations
- Provide support in conducting comprehensive product compliance analysis to ensure alignment with Hazardous Substance Regulations and Environmental Directives.
- Apply Design for Sustainability principles, including the European Union's Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), to assist product development teams in creating more sustainable products.
- Support in the identification and evaluation of new Sustainable materials and technologies.
- Continuously monitor the leading industry practices for analyzing product Sustainability
Who will you report to?
- This is an individual contributor role. You will report to the Sustainability Lead and work in a remote environment. Your main responsibility will be to support business groups across India, Europe, and the US.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical or environmental discipline
- 2+ years of relevant experience working in Sustainability or related field.
- A strong command of Excel, Tableau or Microsoft Access or any other database capable of handling data sheets, with the ability to analyze thousands of data entries from various sources.
- Knowledge of global Hazardous Environmental Standards and Regulations (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and Prop 65, etc)
- Must have experience with Life-Cycle assessments, Circular Economy principles, Decarbonization strategies, ISO 14025 Standard, and related sustainability sciences.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with peer group and leaders
- Experience in Product Development, Logistics & Supply Chain Sustainability
- Familiarity with the European Union's Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a Sustainability discipline or Data Management Science, complemented by a solid understanding of product sustainability standards.
- Formal training or certification in Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and software.
- Demonstrated expertise in setting and reporting on sustainability goals
- Exceptional data management, attention to detail, time management, communication, and organizational skills that enable you to excel in a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, addressing issues with minimal direction from management.
- Recognized for proactive team-building behavior and a commitment to achieving timely results.
