Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), and solar PV systems to join their team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong technical background in electrical power systems and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement MV and LV electrical systems for industrial and renewable energy projects.
- Conduct electrical load analysis, fault level studies, and protection coordination.
- Provide technical expertise on solar PV system design, grid integration, and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in project execution, from feasibility studies to commissioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MV, LV, and solar PV projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with power system studies and grid compliance.
- Professional registration (ECSA) is advantageous.
