Vestas Power System Integration delivers solutions to integrate wind and hybrid power plants into the grid and the environment. This includes Power Plant Controller Software, Electrical simulation models and tools, Integration of environmental control functions, and qualification of Electrical Balance of Plant equipment.
As a key member of our technical management team, you will have the opportunity to determine the performance, quality, and reliability of our products. Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your primary role is to oversee and report on module quality. Your daily tasks will include developing and implementing strategies for Verification, Validation, and Certification, ensuring the right test teams are in place for sub-module, and staying updated with quality guidelines and processes within R&D. You will also be the primary advocate for quality within the module and sub-modules, ensuring the translation of performance demands from user factors and product roadmaps into functional and technical requirements. Finally, you will have a number of quality-responsible engineers in the individual sub modules reporting to you in a dotted line reference.
Your responsibilities include:
- Representing the module in quality development projects
- Ensuring the stability of quality processes across product and module level development projects (functions, requirements, interfaces, and configuration modules)
- Engaging in cross-product and module quality communities
- Defining and assessing critical quality metrics
- Facilitating the implementation of quality processes through the maturation of relevant tools and metrics
- Improving the knowledge of quality through sufficient training and research
- Developing and overseeing the test strategy for the department, ensuring comprehensive design verification plans and procedures are created and implemented
- Specifying platforms for the collection of quality metrics, with data input from relevant sub-modules
- Defining the roadmap for test and quality-related features to be integrated into platform projects
Qualifications
To fulfill this position, you possess deep insights into quality assurance practices relevant to product design and you have significant experience as a software tester combined with a solid focus on quality. It is also beneficial, if you are trained in Six Sigma methodologies.
To be considered for the role, you must have:
- A master's degree within automation and control, software or another relevant field
- More than 5 years professional experience in software test area
- Experience with Quality assurance frameworks
- Experience with Quality design processes
