One Tool Unit is a new business unit in Vestas in charge of optimizing and standardizing Vestas's management of a broad variety of tools for internal customers across the entire value chain of Vestas construction & service operations. Our aim is to enable a globally aligned, regionally focused response to tools management and enable efficiency and scalability of Vestas operational execution.
Responsibilities
Your main role will involve providing essential support to the One Tool unit, specifically in scoping, performing, and delivering projects. These projects serve as a crucial component in aiding Vestas in the introduction of new tooling packages, aligning with the turbine development roadmap and ramp-up strategy. Your efforts will contribute to supporting Vestas in continuing its contributions to sustainable energy solutions.
- Overall accountable for initiating, planning, controlling, and closing all activities associated with safe project implementation.
- Ensure that the projects are planned and completed within the agreed business strategy, scope, timeline, and budget
- Representing Vestas' interests, advocating at high standards in compliance with the company´s values.
- Be the project ambassador and the "one face" towards the Steering group and all relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the project team and secure the project is carried out within the given constraints.
- Tracking deliverables and ensuring information is quality, timely and accurate.
- Operate according to Vestas Project Governance model and secure process adherence.
Qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree in project management, engineering, or a related field is a prerequisite for this role. In addition to your educational qualifications, we require a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in both Project Management and Team Management. This extensive experience ensures that you bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to productively contribute to our team.
- Solid ability to set and handle schedules, budgets, risks matrix, and issues.
- Effective stakeholder management and conflict management.
- Knowledge of Vestas Way to Market or any stage-gate model is beneficial
- You are comfortable negotiating with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Accomplished in navigating complex projects within the renewable industry.
- IPMA C, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or PMP.
Competencies
- Effective management and organizational skills and the ability to facilitate a cooperative work environment.
- Good structure and reporting method, once you will be handling complex projects across the organization.
- You excel at Time & Risk management, project planning, and task delegation.
- Solid ability to overview the scheduling aspects of projects and act on deviations.
- Good communication skills in English, orally and written.
