Summary: To facilitate the creation, installation, and maintenance of all Celebration in the Oaks light exhibits. Maintain and repair exhibits when possible. Maintain all warehouse equipment including electrical tools, hand tools, electrical supplies, and carpentry materials. Maintain and repair decorative lighting and exhibit lighting daily prior and during the event.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned:- Must be able to gauge use and amount of materials needed within the budget.
- Assists in the final execution of the exhibit design.
- Assists in repairs to re-stabilize existing exhibits.
- Takes all necessary steps to prevent and repair rust damage to all exhibits.
- Assists fellow staff members in the physical and electrical installation of exhibits, while also able to install exhibits single-handedly as directed.
- Must be able to operate a pick-up truck and ATV with full knowledge of and compliance with all safety procedures.
- Oversees and assist any volunteer efforts to install lighting in Storyland.
- Install and make minor repairs to electrical hardware attached to decorative lighting and exhibits.
- Maintains warehouse tools and workstations to prevent damage and unnecessary wear and tear.
- Assists with the inventory of warehouse tools, electrical supplies, and carpentry materials.
- Maintains and repairs all lights on the exhibits throughout the run of the event.
- Inspect and repair any outages daily prior to the admission opening.
- Assists in take-down of decorative lights and exhibits throughout the Park.
- Assists in the operations of Special Events when called upon throughout the year.
- Will be required to work evenings as needed prior to and during Celebration on the Oaks.
- Will be required to work overtime as needed to install and repair any light exhibits.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: High school education/GEDOne to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
