Summary:
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the oversight of the import of materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, consumables, and export of the finished goods required by the Project Management Team to Customers/End Users
This role will be instrumental in meeting the Delivery Schedules of the Customer
Knowledge of the local Customs rules and Delivery Incoterms is essential; the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate proactivity. Organizing and managing materials' inventory, storage, and transportation locally and internationally. Keeping Track of Project freight expenses and coordinating with various freight forwarders to arrange Transportation
What will you do?
- Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments per SE agreement
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
- Follow up with Freight Forwarders to meet Delivery deadlines
- Prepare a pre-shipment checklist to ensure all export and import customs requirements are met before the shipment
- Work closely with the Project team members, Trade compliance team, customers, and Freight Forwarders
- Places a strong emphasis on material and transportation operations and cost management
- Coordinate with suppliers to schedule and carry out goods as per Project specifications and SE Standards
- Report monthly inventory stored and ensure material moves within 30 days
- Work closely with FAP team to validate the logistics invoices cost and approve for payment in compliance with SE internal control directives
- Act as the information catalyst to ensure that the contractual terms are respected by the carriers and logistics service providers
- Establish Logistics spend analysis and implement logistics KPI
- Prepare and submit monthly reports
- Perform detailed analysis in logistics optimization and compliance; prepare the operational recommendations
- Support Global Logistics Matrix-Governance
- Provide strategic direction for proper shipping of PA projects
- Conduct targeted supply chain risk assessments providing suggested disruption mitigation strategies. Focus areas include disruptive activity such as congestion at sea and airports, road and rail transportation hubs, labor shortages, and inventory shortages
- Participate in Pre/Post GMP planning meetings to serve as an SME and provide logistics plans with associated costs
- Supporting development and implementation of logistical strategies, policies, procedures, and functional requirements for projects and programs to ensure quality and cost containment of freight
- Participate actively in logistics benchmarking activities as well as exchange on best practices within SE entities
- Support site SPOC and identify proper Customs and TC escalation path as well as provide operational support with factory issues
- Anticipate and minimize logistics risk before and during project execution
- Fulfilling additional responsibilities and misc. expediting functions as required to support Project Procurement

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics
- 3+ years experience in Logistics
- Previous experience of working in a Logistics team preferably within a Project environment
- Computer literate using ERP/SAP systems and advanced Excel skills/abilities
- Ability to multi-task and good communication skills
- Experience working closely with various Freight Forwarders
- Able to add value, reduce Freight and Transportation costs and input to business improvements
