We are looking for a Sr. Manager - Operations Excellence to oversee internal projects focused on improving cost performance in North America. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize key field operations for efficiency, cost, and quality. You will coordinate a matrixed project team and support strategic improvements through teamwork and coordination. Your efforts will contribute to advancing cost reduction initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Guide project-related activities across regional operations and site management to ensure seamless execution of the project.
- Develop and implement a roadmap to improve cost performance.
- Ensure that project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in line with schedules.
- Report on project progress to both local and global stakeholders.
- Anticipate potential challenges, question assumptions, and identify opportunities to mitigate delays.
- Collaborate with Service Leadership, SOMs, and Site Managers to align project expectations with both regional and global standards.
- Regularly assess project health to ensure cost reduction targets are being met and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure all team members are properly trained and identify opportunities for further development and growth.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, resolving conflicts and removing roadblocks to progress.
- Prepare and deliver biweekly updates and monthly reports on project health.
Essential Functions:
- Safety: Ensure all projects align with safety protocols and organizational standards.
- Accountability: Assume responsibility for actions and decisions, maintaining a focus on cost-effective, ethical, and efficient project management.
- Communication: Communicate with stakeholders using various tools and methods, listening to feedback to support project goals.
- Inclusiveness: Promote a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and process enhancement by recommending and supporting improvements to work practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or a combination of academic qualifications and relevant work experience in the wind industry.
- 3-5+ years of experience in project management, with involvement in service, industrial, or manufacturing environments, and experience working within matrixed teams.
- Analytical skills with experience in data management; Six Sigma certification is an asset.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across an organization.
- Experience in coaching, motivating, and supporting teams to deliver project outcomes.
- Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable steps and communicate those steps to others.
- Experience in managing change and resolving conflicts with effective decision-making.
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written, including meeting management and presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
