JOB DUTIES
- Track/maintain inventory and office supplies and equipment, such as dunnage, cardboard, ink cartridges, etc.
- Maintains and runs various reports and records daily, weekly, and month end, such as OHM incident tracking and Quality investigations. Make copies and routes via interoffice mail to the appropriate department or individual.
- Monitors and logs employee requests for time off, vacations and call-offs. Files related paperwork.
- Monitors e-time to ensure accurate time keeping, manages union status changes, manage crew schedules, and manage/schedule union training requirements within transportation department. Maintain Management operating system.
- Provides general assistance to transportation management and employees as needed.
- Assists supervisor and other department personnel by performing a variety of duties in support of department functions.
- Provides clerical support for the transportation department including typing copying, filing, faxing, mailing, data entry and taking/distributing messages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Wage - $23.50 to $25.50 Hourly
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when working with other staff members, management, and customers.
- Ability to operate office equipment and software necessary to perform the duties of this position, such as PC, Microsoft Office applications, Oxygen software, Kronos software, Supply Chain Management System, Oracle software, copier/fax machine and 10-key.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, strong organizational practices and ability to prioritize work assignments and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to perform coordinator duties such as typing, filing, creating and entering data efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to read or hear and comprehend instructions in written, oral, or diagram form to effectively produce correspondence, memos, and other office materials.
- Knowledge of the principles of professional office environment and the ability to apply these principles to role and work assignments
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Climbing: Frequently. Ascending or descending stairs on a daily basis.
- Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Occasionally. When needing to access office files, papers, etc.
- Standing/Walking: Frequently. On a daily basis, primarily within office building, but occasionally outside or within manufacturing plant.
- Reaching: Continually. To retrieve office supplies, equipment or files/paperwork.
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting: Occasionally. To move items within the office environment.
- Grasping: Continually. To move papers, files and office supplies or to write.
- Repetitive Motions of the hands/wrists/fingers: Continually. To perform office duties such as keyboarding, 10-key, telephone dialing, filing of documentation or operations of copier/fax machine.
- Sitting: Continually. Position is an office job and duties are primarily performed while sitting at a desk.
USE OF SENSES
- To explain procedures, gather information, give directions. Ability to communicate with individuals of varying English speaking/understanding ability. Ability to communicate in either an office environment or on occasion, in a loud mill environment.
- To listen, in person and over the phone, and to understand.
- To read and view computer monitor, data and figures and text.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Work is primarily performed indoors, in an office environment and is sedentary in nature. It may occasionally require the ability to exert force or to push/pull up to 20 pounds, and/or to lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
A worker in this position will be subject to indoor environmental conditions, however, there will be occasions when they may need to enter the mill, where they will be exposed to outdoor and/or plant conditions. PPE is required and will be provided when this is the case.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of administrative office experience.
