This position is with Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in the Maintenance Division located in Wallpack Center, New Jersey.

Overview
Duties
- Review and inspect the progress of work, and make necessary recommendations or changes in methods and procedures to reduce or control cost, and accomplish work assignments effectively.
- Maintain work order system data, and project data in database systems, and uses data to plan work, review efficiency of operations, track labor costs, report out on data, and to maintain records.
- Manage historic structures which includes administrative, visitor use buildings, and housing units.
- Supervise or lead a variety of trade workers including crafts such as carpentry, masonry, woodcrafter, roofing, and painting.
- Act as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), or interact with contracting officers, vendors and contractors on construction, rehabilitation, maintenance contracts and procurement issues.

- Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
- Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
- You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required.
- You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
- You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
- You will be required to complete a one-year trial period.
- Government Charge Card: You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.
- Applicants must be at least (1) 18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work part-time during the school year under a formal student employment program.
- Pre-employment physical examination prior to entry on duty is required at applicant's expense.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- The position to which you will be appointed is subject to a financial disclosure reporting requirement and you will be required to complete a new entrant Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450) within 30 days of your appointment.

Education
There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.
