What you will do
- Develop and effectively manage the implementation of communications project plans bringing our sustainability ambitions to life for employees and across social media
- Work closely with a cross-functional, global network and senior management to ensure all communication activities and messages support our sustainability strategy and business objectives
- With limited supervision, develop and take ownership of integrated plans contributing to wider projects supporting business objectives
- Be a pro-active member of the Zurich Forest project team, leading sub-projects with full accountability for delivery and implementation
- Use data to measure impact, adapt content and strategies, and improve results
- Develop tool kits for the effective activation of campaigns by Zurich’s local businesses
- Help drive culture change aligned to our new brand, tone of voice and target audiences
What you bring
- 5-7 years of successful communications experience in an international matrix organization
- Good understanding of sustainability, esp. climate change, and its implications for the financial industry
- Ideally experience in designing and arguing business propositions for sustainability related projects, including influencing and negotiating skills
- Ability to fully grasp complex interrelationships and to translate them in both visual and written communications that are both engaging and easy to understand
- Excellent project management, prioritization and organization skills
- Resilient in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Ability to take a step back and plan big picture, strategic, longer-term communications plans
- Hands-on mentality – you enjoy getting things done and measuring the impact of your work
- Experience in developing and executing highly engaging, fresh and distinctive communications materials, including internal and external social media, video scripts/story bords
- Excellent power point skills
- Superior command of written and oral English language
- Ability to quickly understand issues and new topics based on limited information
- Ability and discipline to track and coordinate large number of topics, issues and deliverables
- Steely determination and grace under pressure
