Job Description
Implementing the Sustainability Strategy 2030:
- Drive the execution of LGT’s Sustainability Strategy 2030 in the APAC-Region, focusing on decarbonization and sustainability integration.
- Collaborate with teams across Europe and Asia to refine and implement sustainability frameworks and methodologies.
- Provide Asia-specific insights to enhance and adapt LGT’s sustainable investing frameworks.
ESG Integration & Decarbonization:
- Integrate sustainability criteria into investment processes and refine ESG frameworks.
- Develop a decarbonization toolbox and conduct climate risk assessments to align portfolios with sustainability goals.
Product Development & Governance:
- Ensure APAC sustainable product offerings meet regulatory standards, including SFDR and local requirements.
- Integrate ESG factors into the investment process and harmonize regulatory and market shifts between Asia and Europe through effective frameworks.
Client Advisory & Business Development:
- Partner with relationship managers to deliver tailored sustainability insights to clients in the Asia Pacific region.
- Lead sustainability-related client events to foster demand for sustainable investment solutions.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Secure cross-regional partnerships to advance LGT’s sustainability agenda in the APAC region.
- Collaborate with external partners and industry groups in Asia to promote sustainable investment solutions.
Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership:
- Represent LGT at industry conferences and forums in Asia, showcasing expertise in sustainable investing.
- Publish thought leadership content on sustainable investing trends and decarbonization for the APAC region.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Work closely with teams in Vaduz, London, and Zurich to align sustainability efforts.
- Support regional teams in Asia to implement frameworks and methodologies.
Requirements
Technical skills:
- Extensive knowledge of sustainable investment frameworks, ESG integration, and decarbonization strategies.
- Deep knowledge of global (e.g., SFDR, TCFD) and local (Hong Kong, Singapore) regulatory standards, with experience in influencing key stakeholders and collaborating with regional teams.
- Proficiency in ESG metrics, carbon accounting, and climate risk management and financial instruments.
- Possessing a MAS or HKMA license (e.g., Type 4 advising on securities) is advantageous.
Personal skills:
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to influence senior management and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client engagement and public speaking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job-related skills:
- Proven experience in a senior sustainability management role (6+ years), preferably within the financial services sector.
- Proven leadership in Asia Pacific markets with strong connections to sustainability-focused industry associations in Asia.
- Experience implementing sustainable investing initiatives at a senior management level in Asia.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs and sales strategies.
