DescriptionAs a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager, you will be supporting the development of a strategy to shape the HSEQ function within our Dartford and Ireland, this role also includes site security & Risk management. Working closely with the respective management team and their on-site HSEQ Co-Ordinators to deliver this strategy and drive a culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role and requires a candidate who enjoys interacting on the shop floor and can demonstrate the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Shift: Monday to Friday (With the occasional weekend working) On Call for escalation purposes.
Salary: £44,200.00
Holiday: 25 days
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supporting the Health & Safety Manager in ensuring a safe working environment is maintained and that the depot is operating within health and legal requirements.
· Record, review and monitor accidents, incidents, near misses and hazards in conjunction with the Health & Safety Manager.
· Create risk assessments and safe systems of work with guidance from the Health & Safety Manager.
· Ensure all documentation is compliant with the most up to date SHE format.
· Set up and maintain electronic filing system.
· Fully support the audit process, both internally and customer audits.
· To support and assist the site management team in conducting a full and thorough investigation of all accident and incidents and ensuring a follow up of any corrective action is undertaken.
· Update the minimum safety standard report on a quarterly basis.
· Update the environment safety standard report on a quarterly basis.
· Collect and compile the KPI data for monthly reporting.
· Perform site audits such as safety tours.
· Lead site the Health & Safety meetings.
· Responsibility for ensure the site has Safety Representation and their training.
· Produce supporting materials for presentations, inductions and workshops.
· Oversee the management of the site Security Team and reporting back to central Security Management.
· AEO Audits and Standards are adhered to.
· Working with the CI team to ensure we are promoting best practices across th contract.
· Other ad hoc administrative duties including reviewing and completing Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Process, Risk Assessments.
Person Profile:
· Currently in an existing health and safety role with a Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Logistics
· IOSH Minimum NEBOSH working towards
· Fire Risk Assessor desired.
· Have a good understanding of Health & Safety regulation and legislation.
· Knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001 would be an advantage.
· Excellent IT skills with working experience or Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
· Ability to work on solo projects.
· Methodical, with attention to detail.
· Self-motivated and an effective personal/time planner.
· Demonstrate a keen interest in health and safety.
· Ability to communicate at all levels professionally and discreetly.
