JOB SUMMARY: These are Full-time temporary appointments not-to-exceed one year with potential to be extended for an additional one year for a maximum of two years based on agency needs and potential funding. The purpose of these positions is to perform laboring duties that reuire moderately heavey physical effort requireing the use of common hand toold and power equipment. MAJOR DUTIES: Operate heavy power equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, brush cutters, brush chippers, portable snow blowers, and all types of hand and light power tools. Load and unload supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc. Digs ditches and trenches; occasionally breaks up pavement, soil, or concrete; mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot/cold mix; fills and levels holes in damaged roads. Perform janitorial duties for buildings and grounds when required. Operate vehicles in all traffic conditions, performs minor operator maintenance, vehicles weigh up 10,000 pounds.
