MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Evaluate field activities of a regional enforcement program by developing new approaches for targeting facilities or regulatory sectors for inspection to achieve and maintain environmental compliance of ongoing operations. Plan and conduct/coordinate inspections to identify and evaluate violations of complex industrial and commercial establishments throughout a multi-state area. Provide expert regulatory compliance assistance during inspections, investigations, and compliance assistance visits. Serve as a regulatory technical expert in the development, negotiation, and litigation of civil, administrative, and criminal enforcement matters. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
