JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent serves as a Resource Soil Scientist in a State, Area, or Field office of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and is responsible for providing technical soil services, completing quality assurance activities, conducting training, and managing programs and other activities within the area of responsibility. Provides leadership for technical soil services to field service centers and others that include soil databases, soil interpretations, and soil investigations MAJOR DUTIES: Provides on-site technical assistance to agency personnel and the public on the interpretation and application of soil survey information.
