About
I’m a sophomore at Princeton University studying Civil and Environmental Engineering, with plans to minor in Sustainable Energy. During my time at Princeton, I’ve been actively involved with the Kenya chapter of Engineers Without Borders, and last summer (2025) I traveled to Kenya to oversee the implementation of a water tank and piping system, bringing a reliable water supply to over 1,700 people. I also spent the summer of 2025 in Gothic, Colorado as a Research Assistant at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, studying a plant pathogen relationship and how it varied with elevation. More recently, I joined the Princeton Food Project Think Tank, where I’m collaborating with dining hall staff, students, and faculty to develop innovative solutions to reduce food waste on campus.
Growing up in rural upstate New York as an avid hiker and outdoors person fostered a deep appreciation for nature within me. As president of my high school's Sustainability Club for four years, I translated that passion into action, from securing an EV charging station at zero cost to taxpayers and creating cross-country trails to planting an apple orchard. These experiences solidified my commitment to serving the environment for the long term.
At Princeton, I am committed to combining my love for the outdoors and preserving its beauty with real-world action and learning. My experiences as a research assistant, traveling to Kenya with EWB, and contributing to the Princeton Food Project have reaffirmed both the urgency of environmental action and my own personal commitment to making a positive difference as an environmental engineer.
