About
I work as a sustainability consultant with deep expertise in decarbonization, greenhouse gas accounting, climate targets, and long term strategy. My experience sits at the intersection of technical detail, financial analysis, and strategic decision making and allows me to help companies understand their emissions, build credible pathways, and act on them. As an engineer, I am motivated by work that is rigorous, evidence based, and grounded in the realities of operations and data. Key areas of focus include:
GHG Accounting - I support clients preparing their first inventory and help experienced organizations improve older systems. My work includes full scope 1, 2, and 3 inventories, historical updates to align with current guidance, and detailed reviews of activity data for complex global operations. I have validated data from more than five hundred sites and corrected inventories after significant corporate changes. I also build automated tools that make calculations faster and more reliable for internal teams.
Target Setting - I guide companies through science based target setting and validation. I have supported real estate developers, asset managers, investment firms, and industrial companies through the full process, including developing targets, evaluating feasibility, preparing submission materials, and responding to reviewer questions. My work helps clients understand the implications of each pathway and commit to targets that reflect credible evidence.
Strategy - I develop decarbonization roadmaps for both corporate and site specific needs. These plans evaluate technical options and quantify emissions benefits and help clients decide between different pathways. In addition, I provide detailed financial estimates and implementation plans to help companies prepare for and execute their roadmaps.
Avoided emissions - I have reviewed avoided emissions methodologies for battery and energy companies, assessed geothermal crediting approaches, and developed strategies for environmental attribute certificates. This work identifies weaknesses, improves alignment with leading frameworks, and reduces reputational and accounting risk.
Beyond carbon services, I support clients on a variety of sustainability needs, including water target setting, climate risk assessments, CSRD and California disclosure readiness, life cycle assessment reviews, and climate due diligence for investments. I also work on management consulting projects that link sustainability with commercial strategy.
My earlier career as an energy engineering supervisor at Ford Motor Company grounds my work in real technical experience. I approach decarbonization with an understanding of how engineering decisions influence energy use, cost, and feasibility. Across all projects I focus on clarity, evidence, and implementation. I help clients build systems they can manage, plans they can execute, and commitments that stand up to scrutiny.
