About
I am a young Environmentalist. In terms of my academic background, I pursued my bachelor's in environmental science and am currently pursuing my master's in sustainability at the University of Alberta. Additionally, I have five-plus years of experience working with youth networks, NPOs/INGOs, and community organizations at local, national, and regional levels. My recent experience was as a full-time project associate at an NPO called Bighnaharta Nepal and part time volunteering as a co-lead convenor at UNICEF South Asia region YPAT. An OMLAS Champion 2024 and a delegate at the Climate Policy Innovators Camp and the 9th Asia Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum 2025(Thailand), Nepal’s first Waste Management and Climate Conference 2024, the 4th Asia Pacific Youth Symposium 2024, LCOY Nepal, and the 8th and 9th National Youth Conference on Climate Convention(NYCCC) 2024 and 2022. I was engaged in many community projects and some of the highlighted projects are Bioengineering Social Enterprise for Disaster risk reduction and livelihood upliftment, Chepang Entrepreneur project, solar energy project, Project Green Home Green Kathmandu, and Swachh Hawa Clean Air) project. Additionally, I am an alumnus of one of the biggest youth networks in Nepal on climate, called NYCA(Nepalese Youth for Climate Action). I strongly believe that the climate crisis is a children's rights crisis and have been advocating for the rights of young people and coming generations.
