About
Jay is a social scientist and researcher specialising in climate change and natural hazard resilience. He holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of Tasmania, Australia, and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship (climate change resilience) at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in New Zealand.
His areas of experience include environmental decision-making, policy development and management. Over the last decade, Jay has focused on the resilience, vulnerability, adaptability, and transformability of social-ecological systems in response to the complex and uncertain impacts of climate change.
Currently, Jay is working on an empirical research project related to the “Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures” (TCFD) framework for assessing organisational resilience and vulnerability in dealing with climate change risks.
