About
I am an international expert in climate change, humanitarian response, and sustainability, with over two decades of experience working with global organisations such as UNDP, WFP, UN-Habitat, ICIMOD, Oxfam, and HelpAge International. I currently serve as the Global Climate Change and Ageing Adviser at HelpAge International, where I am a strong advocate for the meaningful inclusion of older people in global climate change policy and finance mechanisms.
Throughout my career, I have authored peer-reviewed papers, contributed to books and book chapters, and published opinion pieces in leading journals and media platforms. As an award-winning mentor, I have guided climate innovators and social entrepreneurs through initiatives like the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, MIT Climate Co-Lab, and the Climate Reality Project. I am an active member of the IUCN Climate Crisis Commission and the Commission on Education and Communication, and I consistently champion inclusive, rights-based approaches to resilience and climate justice.
