About
Mr. Emmanuel Mwenje a progressive Urban Planner and Resilience Expert with over 10 years of experience. I have in-depth knowledge in Urban Planning, Risk-Sensitive Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Resilience strategies, Resettlement Action Planning, Spatial Risk and Vulnerability Assessment, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Policy Analysis, Urban Governance, Mixed Methods Research, Participatory Planning, and Environmental Management. He has worked for public, private firms and UN-HABITAT in Kenya. He is a member of the Kenya Institute of Planners, and United Nations Planners for Climate Change (P4CA) affiliate. He’s currently a PhD student in Climate Change and Adaptation at the University of Nairobi and holds an MSc in Urban Management and Development (Specialization: Urban Environment, Sustainability, and Climate Change), from Erasmus University Rotterdam; an MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (for Urban Planning and Management) from ITC, University of Twente, and a Bachelors in Urban & Regional Planning, from the University of Nairobi.
