WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Manufacturing is evolving and Saint-Gobain North America is leading the way.

Today is an exciting time to be in manufacturing. At Saint-Gobain North America, we are asking the questions that will ultimately bring our factories to the next level: Manufacturing 4.0. Whether you're launching your career or pivoting into manufacturing, our 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program empowers engineers to step into the future of the industry. Through our advanced engineering development program, you won’t just witness the change, you’ll help drive it.

Each challenge you’re given; each insight that’s shared; each lesson you’ll learn over our 18-month program - ALL of it will help shape you into an engineering leader of tomorrow. We’ll do this by:

Preparing you for a dynamic career at a pivotal moment in the next manufacturing revolution

Teaching you to apply educational theory to manufacturing practice
Inspiring you to make an impact by bringing factories to the next level

Program Summary:

Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on action-based learning in operational environments as well as a plethora of networking opportunities, are just some of the activities in place designed to accelerate your career development and future career growth. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. While start dates for EOM program participants may vary, program activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year.

Upon successful completion of the program, EOM Engineers will be considered for a final placement role within their host business. Placement discussions begin approximately halfway through the program to provide ample time for the participant, host business, and Human Resources team to align on long-term career goals and potential opportunities across Saint-Gobain's network of nearly 160 sites throughout North America. Provided performance expectations are met, participants will receive a designated final placement offer from their host business; however, employees remain free to pursue other opportunities within Saint-Gobain should they choose not to accept that offer.
