Job Description & Summary

A career in our Sustainability and Climate Change will provide you with the opportunity to help clients seize essential advantages by working alongside business leaders to solve their toughest problems and capture their greatest opportunities. We work with some of the world’s largest and most complex companies to understand their unique business issues and opportunities in an ever changing environment. We help create sustainable change by stimulating innovation, unlocking data possibilities, navigating risk and regulatory complexity, optimising deals, and aligning costs with business strategy to create a competitive advantage.

Sustainability and climate change are at the top of the agenda for many organisations, but many are at different stages in understanding how they should respond. As part of our team, you’ll help our clients balance competing economic, social and environmental goals. Our advice goes right to the heart of policy and strategy, addressing everything from the international development policies of major donors to changing regulations and consumer preferences, to the security of supply chains, climate risk and the challenges of urbanisation.

PwC’s ESG platform is working on sustainability issues that are at the top of the agenda for both the public and private sectors, as well as society as a whole. We support our clients with key strategic sustainability initiatives, ESG policy advisory services, and by integrating ESG into operations. The aim of our work is to make a meaningful impact on the environment and society, by designing and implementing solutions to global issues such as climate change and social inclusion, and by helping companies to manage their transitions to ensure a more sustainable world. We are seeking candidates at all levels in orderto scale up our ESG activities in anticipation of increasing client needs and opportunities. Candidates with experience and expertise in different aspects of ESG – including but not limited to climate change – will be considered.

You will be involved in the following activities:

Supporting clients in setting and operationalizing their ESG strategies, defining KPIs and frameworks for measuring and monitoring their impacts, as well as carrying out assurance on ESG reports
Conducting ESG policy analyses and developing roadmaps and action plans for public sector clients
Conducting ESG readiness assessments and due diligence for businesses, portfolios, and projects
Evaluating options for including ESG mitigation and adaptation considerations in investment projects
Contributing – as an expert in ESG – to broader opportunities and assignments in other areas, including the identification and analysis of key ESG risks and opportunities, and demonstrating how they can be mainstreamed
Supporting business developments to further expand our ESG-related services
Communicating with the decision makers of our clients (including governments, international agencies, industrial groups, banks, private equity companies, shareholders, and investors)

To really stand out and make us fit for the future in a constantly changing world, each and every one of us at PwC needs to be a purpose-led and values-driven leader at every level. To help us achieve this we have the PwC Professional; our global leadership development framework. It gives us a single set of expectations across our lines, geographies and career paths, and provides transparency on the skills we need as individuals to be successful and progress in our careers, now and in the future.
