Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
Diagnose and resolve turbine faults using diagnostic software, and control systems.
Conduct system performance testing, alignment, and calibration of sensors, control units, and power systems.
Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.

Provide technical support to operations teams during turbine outages, alarms, and fault conditions.
Support remote monitoring and control systems, interpreting turbine data to detect early warning signs of failure.
Maintain detailed service logs, fault reports, and maintenance documentation in compliance with Resort standards.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and performance analysis.

Follow all site safety protocols, including high-voltage procedures.
Maintain compliance with all applicable environmental, electrical, and occupational safety regulations.

Assist with the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of wind turbine units.
Support inventory control of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
Recommend technical improvements or upgrades to enhance system reliability.

Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
Communicate clearly and professionally with management regarding turbine status and maintenance priorities.
Mentor junior technicians on maintenance practices and diagnostic procedures.

Key Results Indicators:

Specific Technical / General

Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience with wind turbines.
Strong knowledge of turbine electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Proficient in turbine monitoring systems, and diagnostic tools.
Valid Wind Turbine Safety Training (GWO) certification preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Physically fit to perform work at heights and in confined spaces.
