We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our client"s team. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing solar systems for industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar design software, strong technical knowledge of renewable energy systems, and the ability to deliver cost-effective, safe, and efficient solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design solar systems (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid) according to project requirements and industry standards.
Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and feasibility studies.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
Size modules, inverters, cables, and protection devices to ensure optimal system performance.
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical proposals, and cost estimates.
Review and approve technical submittals and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Work closely with the project team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
Perform energy yield analysis using design software (e.g. Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
Support project commissioning, testing, and handover.
Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, regulations, and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering field.
2 to 5 years of experience in solar design and engineering.
Proficiency in solar design tools (AutoCAD, Helioscope, etc.).
Strong knowledge of international and local electrical codes and safety standards.
Hands-on experience with grid-connected and hybrid solar systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
