Responsible for critical operational tasks in support of the natural gas Retail Access program using customized software in accordance with current and future tariff requirements. Responsibilities include: ESCO nominations, running forecasts, backcasts and settlement for gas customers, capacity releases, infield transfers, imbalance trading, daily metered customer switches, ESCO billing and reconciliations. Responsibilities also include analysis required for responding to ESCO questions and/or concerns.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer the daily operation of NYSEG and RG&E’s cloud-based Gas Tracking System (“GTS”), including daily file interface management and troubleshooting system issues.
- Execute retail access capacity release and inventory transfers, including applicable pre-work and checks.
- Reconcile daily nominations and perform settlement for natural gas ESCOs.
- Perform in-depth analysis to answer questions/concerns from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for multiple reporting deliverables each month, including monthly capacity release report, cashout reports, and monthly weighted average cost of capacity calculation.
- Manage external communications to ESCOs and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education & Experience Required: Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 5 years relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of natural gas Retail Access programs.
- Demonstrated technical acumen, including with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and working knowledge of multiple-user interfaced cloud-based applications.
- Analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be available for on-call rotation.
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment.
