In this role, you will work closely with a team that focuses on Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), contributing directly to Zalando’s do.BETTER D&I and do.MORE sustainability strategy. Collaborating with product managers, product designers, software engineers and business leaders you will be leading data-explorations, A/B tests, hypothesis analysis, and other statistical approaches focused on understanding our products and customers. You will also be responsible for the continuous reporting and monitoring of important KPIs. Your work will support the direction of our sustainability and D&I initiatives, providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making processes. You will analyse user behaviour, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for product improvements, all while focussing on our commitments to enabling customers to positively contribute to the well-being of people and the planet through their choices and ensuring customers feel equally welcome by delivering inclusive and accessible experiences. WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Develop in-depth analytical understanding of what drives growth for the product and how it can be improved
Define key performance metrics for the team to evaluate and monitor product performance
Be an advocate and partner to your stakeholders for data-driven decision making
Advise in the set-up of A/B tests and other quasi-experiments for new features and business opportunities, analysing, and deep-diving into the results to give recommendations
Develop and automate reports, iteratively design and build dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for business priorities
You aim for impact by formulating product problem statements, relevant research questions and hypotheses and identifying and executing the right methodologies to test them
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You have 4+ years of relevant working experience in a data-intensive analytics role where you learned how to work with raw data, such as in Digital Analytics, Product Analytics, or Business Intelligence, preferably in e-commerce
BA/BS or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or similar
You have experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and have excellent communication and presentation skills
You have experience in tracking and analysis of onsite user behavior (for example using Google Analytics or a similar service) and strong knowledge of customer behavioral KPIs and how they can be defined
Strong proficiency with SQL- based languages, preferably in BigQuery or Redshift
You are proficient in Python, R or similar programming languages for data transformation and analyses
You have experience in ETL processes and data pipeline automation on large datasets
You have strong knowledge and experience with A/B testing best practices
Additionally, it would be preferred if you:
Have experience working on e-commerce, Sustainability and/or Diversity and Inclusion topics
Have experience with quasi-experimental techniques, inferential and predictive statistics
Are familiar with dashboarding tools, such as Looker DataStudio or MicroStrategy
