Duties & Responsibilities
• Handle storage tank policy placements and other assigned environmental placements
• Create and maintain an active renewal list & other business document
• Collect and organize information & assist with preparation of insurance submissions
• Check quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements for accuracy, and transmit to clients
• Address client requests timely, following-up with underwriter(s) on policy service requests as-needed
• Coordinate with appropriate team members for timely certificates of insurance, invoicing, surplus lines filing and documentation, and other placement-related administration
• Take on and/or assist with other projects upon request
Qualified Candidates Should Possess the Following Skills
• Ability to work in a professional/office environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams and Power Point), as well as an ability to learn/use internet & intranet-based tools
• Attention to detail with an ability to accurately proofread written materials and accurately calculate premiums/taxes
• Interpersonal & relationship-building skills to create and foster relationships with clients, the underwriting community, EPIC’s internal producers, executive brokers, and other colleagues
• Effective communication and time management skills, with an ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines (e.g., figure out what is needed and take the necessary action to address/resolve issues)
Credentials and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent professional work experience
• Obtaining/maintaining an insurance license and surplus lines broker’s License is a condition of employment
• Experience with risk management, insurance, environmental and/or pollution legal liability coverage concepts is a plus, but not required
