THE OPPORTUNITY
Triton is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Environmental Project Manager to join the growing team of environmental professionals based in our Saskatoon SK, office.
Our project managers are the cornerstone of our company and are committed to outstanding client service. In this senior role you will be responsible for managing the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, providing mentorship to our project managers and project coordinators, and spearheading regional business development. Our clients include regional and multi-national O&G and mining companies, hydro and power companies, construction contractors, government agencies, and First Nations communities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Working directly with Triton’s regional and local management team towards continued growth of the Saskatchewan operation.
- Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks.
- Successfully managing project delivery through cost-efficient and timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintaining, establishing, and developing client relationships that facilitate the successful delivery of projects and future opportunities.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with other consultants, construction contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting corporate business development initiatives, including compiling and reporting on regional business development opportunities.
- Leading and/or helping to support RFP responses coming through our Saskatoon office.
- Maintaining and supporting Triton’s industry‑wide reputation as a leader in the environmental consulting industry.
- Providing mentorship and training for our junior staff and for the environmental professional team.
- Maintaining and improving upon Triton and client safety standards.
- Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the office, region, and between other areas of the organization.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., environmental science, biology, agrology, ecology)
- Having experience working within the environmental industry is required.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, provincial and federal environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience in project management (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting and scope control) and leading and supervising of project teams.
- Business development acumen (e.g., client relationships, strategic planning, proposal writing, preparing quotes).
- A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes.
- Effective writing skills and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals.
- Organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style.
- Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with strong strategic thinking skills.
- Accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with a professional governing body recognized in Saskatchewan or AB (P.Biol., P.Ag., TechAg) is an asset.
