We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Team Lead, Managing Consultant - Sustainable Operations to join our dynamic team in Singapore. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the rapidly growing field of sustainability. You will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable strategies for clients across various industries while leading a talented team of experts. Working closely with the regional leadership team, you’ll also have exposure to ERM’s APAC-wide operations, offering you ample opportunities to grow professionally.
This role is to support expansion of ERM Singapore as the Southeast Asia (SEA) Hub and will be based at our Singapore office.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Manage Projects: Oversee the development and execution of sustainable operations strategies, with a focus on EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) management systems, ESG integration, decarbonization operationalization, as well as water and waste management.
Work closely with clients to understand their challenges and sustainability goals, providing expert guidance and delivering tailored solutions that meet their needs.
Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive EHS management systems across various industries, ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance.
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Advise clients on integrating EHS management into their broader business operations to enhance sustainability outcomes.
Lead a team of experienced EHS individuals, being responsible for driving operational metrics and project management
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, driving their professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Support sales efforts, nurture client relationships, and drive revenue growth through new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Lead new Go-To-Market plans for the Sustainable Operations team, covering areas such as decarbonization, circular economy, and monitoring and reporting services.
Support the implementation of advanced digital tools and technologies to optimize environmental and operational performance for clients.
Key Requirements:
Master’s degree in environmental sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
8 to 10 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management and ESG Performance Management, with a proven track record in compliance audits and water and waste management strategies. Industrial exposure is essential.
Strong understanding of ESG and sustainability frameworks, greenhouse gas inventories, and familiarization with the principles of a circular economy and water stewardship.
Track record of delivering successful sustainability and EHS projects across diverse global markets, working with multinational clients to navigate complex regulatory environments and implement sustainable strategies.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, and drive successful outcomes.
Experience as an Internal or Lead Auditor for ISO Management Systems, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14064; additional external certifications are a plus.
Experience in working with advanced data analytics tools and digital platforms to collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability-related data. Proficient in leveraging digital systems for performance tracking, reporting, and optimization of environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics.
Proven ability to manage large-scale programs, engaging with global clients and collaborating with subcontractors and digital partners.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior-level clients effectively.
A deep commitment to driving positive environmental change and fostering sustainability practices.
