Hargrove is looking for an Environment Specialist to work side by side one of the top Water Treatment companies in the area. Ideal candidate will be able to provide environmental support to the EHS team. Excel experience is highly desired and SAP experience is a plus. What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: This position will support Client compliance requirements with State and any other applicable jurisdiction by performing professional engineering services and obtaining air quality permits. This position will also employ various strategies to develop Client base and secure business for these services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop relationships with Clients to develop sustainable revenue streams
Manage all aspects of air permitting projects from development to submittal to the operating state
Develop air emission tracking database
Perform air emission inventory for Client
Converse with State Regulators frequently to build site agency relationships and reputation of high integrity
Communicate effectively with all levels of the Client’s leadership team
Deliver projects on time and on budget
Communicate frequently with fellow Teammates to keep them informed of project progress
Research regulatory compliance requirements to ensure adherence to all applicable and current regulations in Client permit development
Increase revenue by expanding client base for air quality permitting professional services
Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program required. Environmental sciences coursework required.
Certification: Current registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.
Experience: At least 3 years of professional environmental services experience in air quality compliance and permitting functions developing air emission inventories and all levels of air permits, from development through application to submission, award, and operational state.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
Demonstrated success developing air emission inventories
Demonstrated success developing air permits at all levels (Synthetic Minor, Title V, PSD and MACT standards, etc.)
Demonstrated success working with State Regulators regarding air permitting applications
Demonstrated success submitting air permit applications to State Regulators and obtaining permits
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to present information to Clients and Teammates in an effective, persuasive manner
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven ability to develop mass fraction calculation database for air permitting calculations
Proficient in air permit modeling data software
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, ensuring Client deliverables meet deadline and budget requirements
Ability to visit Client sites to collect data
Ability to represent site positively by demonstrating professionalism at all times, collaborating with Teammates, Clients, and regulatory agencies, demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and integrity Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Ability to walk reasonable distances, potentially on uneven ground or catwalks, and ascend stairs
Ability to climb ladders and otherwise navigate through industrial/manufacturing settings and around equipment/installations
Ability to ascend stairs, crawling over piping and objects, climbing ladders, and walking over rough terrain.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to work without climate control or shelter from the elements, in hot or cold environments
Ability to drive a personal vehicle, both locally and regionally
Ability to travel an estimated 60% of the time, including overnight trips, by personal vehicle or commercial flight
