Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives, aligning them with the organization's goals and objectives.
Assist with environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Provide guidance and support to departments within the organization to integrate sustainability practices into their daily operations.
Manage the annual collection of energy, water, waste, carbon emissions, employee and procurement data across the entire organization to meet reporting requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainable solutions in areas such as energy efficiency, waste management, supply chain optimization and social responsibility.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to sustainability.
Assist with developing and conducting sustainability training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of sustainability within the organization.
Assist with the preparation of reports on sustainability initiatives, progress, and outcomes for stakeholders and management.
Act as an advocate for sustainability, raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices both internally and externally.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, an engineering or science discipline, sustainability, or related field; or combination of education and experience.
Passion for sustainability and a commitment to promoting environmentally responsible practices.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as EcoVadis, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD),Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), etc.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess environmental impact and identify areas for improvement.
Understanding of lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodologies and carbon footprint calculations.
Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, energy management systems, and waste management practices.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving sustainability programs forward.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
