In accordance with established policies and procedures, directs and coordinates activities and assignments of Environmental Services aides and/or project aides on assigned shift, maintaining documentation as appropriate.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping/environmental services experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solve as needed while maintaining workflow and daily activity
- Ability to think critically in making decisions and problem solving to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills in working with stakeholders across the care continuum, including patients, families, physicians and colleagues.
- Ability and flexibility to handle interruptions while maintaining momentum in meeting hospital-wide environmental needs
- Ability to work independently exercising good judgment in addressing all task and staff related activities and challenges
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role in an acute care setting
- Strong computer knowledge a plus
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
