The BIS (Business Information Systems) Scientific Data Environment Platform Lead will oversee the strategic development and operational execution of our Scientific data platform. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our Scientific data platform aligns with business goals and delivers exceptional performance.
The Scientific data platform is to host and collect all scientific data related to our products and patients we serve. Subsequently this data needs to be shareable with whomever needs it and has appropriate permission to use it. The platform is also providing appropriate solutions to transform the data into information and decision ready knowledge. A non-exhaustive list of data types includes antibody profiles, omics data, biomarker data, digital endpoints, safety data, ....
The individual in this role is a key leader within the BIS R&D Data Management team reporting to the Data Management & AI Lead.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Roadmap building: Responsible for scientific data environment platform roadmap to enable or accelerate business outcomes
- Business Analysis: Perform in depth business analysis and translation of key business needs into understandable user stories
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for platform growth and enhancement, based on anticipated business outcomes. Assure alignment and input into overall enterprise architecture
- Platform Management: Oversee the management of all components part of platforms, work with architecture and infrastructure ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Competency Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of internal and external professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive implementations iteratively through collaboration with various business and technology functions . Guide and oversee the product-oriented development teams creating value for business
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective services.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure platform stability and security.
- Budget management: provide input into long term planning, yearly budgetting cycles and manage actual spending from a platform and use case perspective.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI and related areas, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred or equivalent through experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within Digital Transformation or IT platform management.
- (desirable) understanding of the science behind biologic product development and particularly related to antibodies
- Strong understanding of current and emerging technology trends.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical product development lifecycle and expertise in how data management and analytics can drive new ways of working within scientific environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
