ResponsibilitiesCORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Develop material transparency documents including Health Product Declarations and Manufacturers’ Inventories.
- Conduct detailed Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for coatings products, identifying key areas for environmental impact reduction, with a particular focus on Global Warming Potential (GWP).
- Analyze product carbon footprint data and devise strategies to achieve reduction targets in concert with business partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability attributes into new product development.
- Educate and guide internal stakeholders on sustainability practices, certifications, and LCA methodologies.
- Assist business partners in obtaining sustainability certifications, ensuring transparency and adherence to appropriate standards.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to promote sustainable practices along the supply chain.
- Participate in trade association committees and working groups to develop Product Category Rules as needed.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and market trends in sustainability.

QualificationsFORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, environmental science, or related field
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience developing sustainability certifications and performing cradle-to-gate and cradle-to-grave life cycle assessments.
- Proficient in Life Cycle Assessment software such as Sphera Life Cycle Assessment for Experts/GaBi and/or SimaPro as well as various emissions factor databases
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
- Commitment to staying informed on emerging sustainability trends and technologies.
Preferred:
- Life Cycle Assessment experience aligned with ISO 21930 and EN 15804
- Prior experience with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
- Understanding of LEED and other green building programs
- Prior experience in the chemicals and/or formulated products industries
