Your Impact:
Reporting tothe Group Head of Sustainability and based at McMahons Point, NSW,you will be responsible for key sustainability initiatives, including climate impact and nature-positive initiatives, within the dairy supply chain globally. This role works closely with the Farm Services Team to deliver our sustainability strategy and will focus on positive engagement with our valued farmers, including farmer education related to sustainability objectives, to assist them in understanding the benefits and value add.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of the Sustainability Strategy, Emissions Reductions Roadmap, and Nature Strategy.
- Lead and manage the development, delivery, and reporting of the Farm Sustainability Fund in Australia and New Zealand.
- Develop, lead, and manage the delivery of on-farm initiatives.
- Support and work closely with the Farm Services Team to align implementation of the Thriving Farms Strategy and On-Farm programmes.
- Project manage external research and consulting projects related to dairy supply chain climate and nature initiatives.
- Ensure the delivery of a commercial rollout strategy of methane inhibitors.
- Support the Farm Services Team on the delivery and monitoring of the farm environment plans across all regions.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in sustainability or environmental management within the agricultural sector is required.
- Knowledge of and experience in managing sustainability issues in the dairy industry in Australia and New Zealand.
- Exceptional communication skills including report writing and outstanding interpersonal communication with farmers.
- Strong project management skills and proven track record of managing multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel interstate at least once per month.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in agricultural science, environmental science, or directly related field is essential.
