Your Impact as a Construction Manager (Senior to Principal) – APAC:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage and optimize performance of Energy Vault Energy Storage System projects.
You will collaborate and manage engineering, procurement, and construction execution team members plus outside consultants, service providers, vendors, and suppliers to deliver projects sold by the commercial team. As we rapidly grow and deliver on more contracts worldwide, you will help document and build scalable processes, technology, and products.
You will spend most of your working hours, Monday through Friday, on the construction site close to Uralla, NSW. Our systems take 6-24 months to build. This opening is expected to be a 14-month contract, with possible extension. Energy Vault covers the travel, food, and other miscellaneous expenses.

Your Mission:- Manage project worksites coordinating activities and ensuring that all project deliverables are met.
- Provide direction and oversight to general contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers when executing construction to ensure that quality standards are being met.
- Liaise with engineers, architects and other stakeholders working on projects.
- Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources.
- Identify, mitigate and track recurring construction issues.
- Adhere to legal regulations, building codes, and other contractual requirements.
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists, and coordinate their schedules.
- Manage sites during construction.
- Conduct bid walks, pre-construction walks, in-progress visits, punch walks and close outs.
- Lead status and coordination meetings.
- Create logs and internal and external reports.
- Oversee, conduct, and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process.
- Ensure the work environment is acceptable and that all equipment and tools are in good working condition.
- Maintain and update statement of work and pre-construction documents in accordance with contract obligations.
- Ensure construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques are utilized.
- Oversee creation and record of as built or red line drawings and updates throughout the course of the project.
- Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
- Plan to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risk.
Your Background:- Basic Qualifications
- Ability to travel and manage effectively on-site.
- 5+ years of experience in managing construction projects.
- Proven working experience in construction management.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages.
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Knowledge of NES and Fair Work Standards
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Knowledge of construction methods and technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Familiarity with building code requirements and scheduling methods.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts, contractors, vendors, and suppliers simultaneously.
- Knowledge of worksite safety and a champion/living example of best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
- Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in construction management, engineering or related field.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associate Constructor (AC), or Certified Professional Constructor (CPM).
- Working knowledge of green building practices.
- Turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracting experience.
- 5+ years Integrated and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or other utility-scale power projects in power stations.
- 5+ years’ experience independently overseeing large multi-million-dollar projects.
- 5+ years’ experience in public companies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 20%.
- Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
