UVA Sustainability is looking for a creative and passionate creator to work with our Associate Manager of Communications to help us tell the story of UVA Sustainability. This position involves content creation, strategic communications, and event promotion for the Spring semester, with the potential for continued involvement.
Tasks:
- Capture photos and videos of the people and places advancing sustainability at UVA
- Content creator for Reels, YouTube shorts on various topics such as recycling right, behind the scenes, and other sustainability-related topics
- Logistical support for Earth Month planning, execution, and promotion
- Support role in digital and print communications for UVA Sustainability
- Support role in website content creation
Skills:
- Storytelling
- Written, oral, and visual communication skills
- Interpersonal skills for interviewing and collaborative work
- Content creation and editing (using Canva, IG Reels, iMovie)
- Understanding of UVA and OFS branding
- Strong graphic design skills
