We are looking for a Managing Consultant who can join our offices in Japan to provide Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CS&CC) advisory services to clients.

Responsibilities:
- Implement project tasks as described in ERM’s proposals together with junior consultants.
- Prepare client meetings and workshops and maintain required documentation.
- Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects
- Prepare recommendations and reporting of results for internal review.
- Perform tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Direct and mentor junior consultants to enable them to produce high-quality outputs and support the team for delivering projects.
- Assist in business development, marketing materials, and client pitches.
- Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English (spoken/written)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (environmental engineering, public policy, environmental science, business administration, environmental economics, etc.)
- 7+ years of direct consulting or industry experiences in corporate sustainability and climate change strategy, management, business development, and disclosure.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experiences in one or more of the following subjects:
- Corporate sustainability strategies
- Lifecycle assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint
- GHG accounting and reduction roadmaps (including CDP, SBT)
- Carbon offset, carbon credit, carbon trading
- Circular economy, industrial ecology, cradle-to-cradle design
- Sustainability/integrated reporting, materiality analysis (GRI, SASB, TCFD)
- ESG rating and value chain due diligence and monitoring
