The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental supervisor in the Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM), working at our southeast office in Logan, Ohio.

As an environmental supervisor, you will oversee a team of inspectors in DMWM, ensuring waste management facilities are constructed and operated in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You’ll ensure work commitments are completed, and help in the enforcement of Ohio’s solid waste, infectious waste, and construction and demolition debris programs. You’ll also coordinate multi-media issues with other programs, such as permitting, inspection, and enforcement.
Ensuring consistency in the division, you’ll oversee the auditing and quality assurance of programs you cover. You’ll provide guidance in the review of permit applications, compliance, monitoring strategies, enforcement referrals, and plans for various facilities. Talking with consultants, government officials, and citizens, you’ll provide technical assistance on program regulations and policies.
You’ll get the opportunity to participate on workgroups to develop laws and regulations, procedures, and guidance relating to the solid waste, infectious waste, and construction and demolition debris industries – as well as attend seminars and conferences on these topics.
