Job Description
Working in Trading
Statkraft trades energy products in more than 20 countries and is active on 13 energy exchanges. Proprietary trading takes place mainly from trading rooms in Oslo, Düsseldorf, London and the Unites States. Our Trading teams engage in standardised and customised contracts for power, gas and oil.
Collaboration is a key part of the culture in Trading and employees work closely with other teams within the company. Job Description
Your internship will be in the centre of the front-office activities, and you will be given responsibility from day one. Over the course of your internship, you will become familiar with many aspects of the trading business. Our interns and working students are highly valuable members of our teams, and you will actively contribute to the further development and growth of Statkraft Markets.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting the Trading Business Support team with the creation and maintenance of the department’s roadmap.
- Define, structure and document processes.
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on department costs.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to grow and streamline the trading department’s business activities.
- Supporting the Trading Business Support team with day-to-day activities.
- Building relationships within the trading department and beyond.
Qualifications
- Studying towards a degree in Business IT, Economics, Business Administration
- Interest in commodity and financial trading as well as business and project management, prior experiences are advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Structured and disciplined way of working
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong motivation and proactiveness
- Excellent written and spoken English, German language is advantageous
