About the job and your team
The senior cloud network engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership in designing implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing the cloud network infrastructure of the company in all its cloud footprint.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud-based network solutions that meet business requirements and industry best practices.
You will work on
• Collaborate with architects and developers to design and implement cloud network infrastructure solutions based on business requirements.
• Work with on-premises network teams to ensure end-to-end network connectivity in a hybrid cloud network environment
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for complex cloud infrastructure issues and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
• Implement and maintain cloud network security controls
• Drive initiatives to optimize cloud network costs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance network performance and reliability of cloud-based systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for cloud network operations.
• Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for cloud architecture and operations.
• Document cloud network architecture and configurations, and provide training and support to other team members as needed.
• Mentor and coach junior cloud engineers, providing guidance and support in cloud architecture, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Your qualifications and skills
• 5+ years of experience with complex enterprise grade networks solutions in public, private, and hybrid cloud services planning and operation
• Experience in a multinational IT environment
• Experience in shared services is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a equivalent technical experience
• Fluency in English
• 5+ years of experience in maintaining network solutions including possession of at least Cisco CCNA certification (CCNP level preferred) or equivalent expertise in routing & switching technologies, ensuring proficiency in networking
• Hands-on experience with firewalling technologies, Palo Alto experience preferred
• Experience with cloud networking preferred, especially in Azure
• Cloud networking certificates are a plus (e.g. Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty)
• Experience with the Aviatrix Cloud Networking Platform is a plus
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep or Azure Resource Manager is a plus
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools (Azure Devops, VSTS, TeamCity) is a plus
• Understanding of cloud computing principles, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, public private, hybrid
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
• Track record of delivering cloud-based infrastructure solutions in an agile environment
• Relevant public cloud industry certifications are highly desirable.
