Reporting to the Wind Engineering Director, the Wind Resource Senior Analyst will decide the optimal configuration of the wind projects developed and built by Zelestra based on the yield study and global costs of the project throughout its useful life, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the potential for wind energy projects.
- Perform wind resource analysis using meteorological data to evaluate site suitability.
- Design and develop wind farm layouts, optimizing project size and wind turbines positions considering factors such as wind patterns, terrain, and environmental impact, including micrositing projects.
- Conducting studies to characterize wind farm sites and power curve analysis, estimating energy performance in wind and hybrid farms.
- Select the optimal configuration of the wind project considering the yield studies and the expected costs during the lifetime of the project. Decision made based on project profitability, so basic financial knowledge is required (LCOE, cash flows, etc.).
- Assist in prospecting for new wind projects globally. Performing hourly studies for wind-solar hybridization analysis.
- Manage and define corporate met mast program.
- Prepare preliminary layouts and single-line diagrams in AutoCAD for presentation to different organizations during the early stages of project development.
- Prepare of initial quantities of civil and electrical works associated to the wind project
- Participate in Technical Due Diligence with Technical Advisors to justify the selected technical configuration and yield study assumptions.
- Management of meteorological databases.
