POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Journeyman Electricians provide high-quality installations for residential and commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems. The Journeyman Electrician works closely with Project Managers, Design, and apprentices, driving a standard of excellence in both technical work and customer interactions. This role is crucial in supporting A&R Solar's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing Electrical Equipment in a clean, organized manner.
- Bending/routing conduit, wire pulls, service panels upgrades, adding subpanels, and tying systems in to the utility grid.
- Interpreting PV line drawings, product literature, and referencing the NEC.
- Communicating with utility companies and inspectors.
- Complete Owner Trainings and Preconstruction visits.
- Reviewing and completing project documentation in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues.
- Installing racking, wiring, and solar panels when required.
- Maintain company provided tools, vehicles, and materials needed for job responsibilities.
- Enforcing company and OSHA safety programs with all personnel under your supervision.
- Training electrical apprentices to guarantee that our commitment to quality is upheld throughout all installations.
- Representing A&R Solar Culture and Values in the field with customers and team members.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Workdays are 10-hour days, Monday - Thursday. Every week is a three day weekend.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Commercial and/or Residential electrical.
- Experience with the safe use of hand-held and power tools.
- Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, crawl spaces, wind and rain, etc.
- Ability to take supervisory role and hold others accountable in safety and installation quality.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and roofs throughout work day.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid Oregon General Journeyman License.
- Having a WA 01 License is a major bonus or ability to reciprocate electrical license to WA
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- OSHA 30 Certification required within 6 months of Hire Date.
- NFPA 70e Certification required within 6 months of Hire Date.
