The Seasonal Guest Services Representative advances DZCA’s mission and goals by providing welcoming guest service while conducting admission, sales and/or other operational duties. This position is for the 2025 Spring season and is budgeted through the end of May 2025.

You’ll be responsible for processing transactions, balancing cash, and providing the best-of-the-best in guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet each guest in a friendly and professional manner while anticipating their needs.
- Provide efficient and accurate collection of various fees including but not limited to; admissions, attractions, memberships, programs and events.
- Utilize suggestive upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Provide way finding support at various exhibits throughout the zoo to ensure safety of guests and animals
- Assist with various projects/activities for the Guest Services and Guest Operations department.
- Collaborate with all DZCA Departments and staff to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Technical / Professional Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
- Must possess and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
- High-energy, adaptive team-player with a passion for guest services.
- Good under pressure. You don’t fold and get overwhelmed easily.
- Requires the ability to embrace, support, and integrate Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance’s philosophies to promote and demonstrate its commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.
Position Conditions
- This role has physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
- This role also requires uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk (80 acres) and/or stand up to 7.5 hours daily in extreme cold and extreme heat.
Compensation
Hourly rate for Seasonal Guest Services Representative: $18.29
Benefits
This is a seasonal/temporary position and as such is not eligible for benefits at this time; however, sick time is accrued.
